My portfolio consists of media placements from pitches, answering queries, following up on reporter requests and planning wide-ranging publicity efforts for UNL. National media placement is a niche specialty that requires keen news judgment, research, the ability to "sell" a story idea in an engaging and informative way, and communication with reporters to follow up on pitches.
I have thousands of published clippings from years of reporting for newspapers, as well as news releases and feature stories for magazines and newsletters; copy that I've written for brochures, advertisements and Web sites, scripts, platforms and treatments for radio and television commercials. I have designed, copy-edited and done layout for numerous newspapers, ads, newsletters, reports; and directed design and content for several Web sites.
